Who is Sophia Ali?
Sophia Ali, an actress with more than 30 acting credits to her name, is probably best known for her role as Doctor Dahlia Qadri in the romantic drama series “Grey’s Anatomy” which follows the story of the professional and personal life of the medical staff in Seattle. Grace Hospital.

Early life, family and education
Sophia Taylor Ramsey Ali was born under the zodiac sign Scorpio on November 7, 1995 in San Diego, California, USA. She was only ten days old and flew with her mother to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, where their family lived until Sophia turned four. The family then moved to Texas, USA where she spent most of her childhood. Sophia made her acting debut as Sophia Al Sabih in two episodes of the 2003 series “K Street”, followed by uncredited roles in the children’s series “Barney: Let’s Make Music” and “Barney & Friends” in 2006.
Sophia appeared as Tasha in an episode of the series “Shake It Up” in 2010, followed by her guest role as Samantha Downey in the popular crime drama series “CSI: Miami” in 2011. In the following years, she had guest roles in “Melissa & Joey” (2012) and “Tyrant” (2014) before being cast to play Sabrina in the 2016 series “Faking It”.
This was an important role for Sophia as the romantic comedy-drama was quite popular among teenagers. It followed the story of two best friends who wanted to become famous and after numerous attempts decided to come out as lesbians. The series won the Teen Choice Award for Breakout Show.
In the following year, Sophia debuted as Doctor Dahlia Qadri in “Grey’s Anatomy”, and appeared in 27 episodes of this long-running sitcom from 2017 through 2019. It aired in 2005 and had 244 award nominations, winning 85 of them, including four Primetime Emmys.
At the same time, Sophia was seen as Parvati in “The Mindy Project” (2017), as Alexis in “The Mick” (2018), and played Joanie in “Famous in Love” that same year.
From 2020 to 2022, Sophie played Fatin Jadmani in ‘The Wilds’, a mysterious adventure drama about a group of teenagers who have to survive on a deserted island after their plane crashes. Sophia starred opposite Rachel Griffits and Shannon Berry, and the series was nominated for the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Media Award for Outstanding Drama Series.
At the same time, Sophia voiced the character of Khushy in the animated series “Mira, Royal Detective” (2021-2022).
Roles in movies
Sophia made her big screen debut as Kid in the 2007 movie “Missionary Man” written, directed by and starring Dolph Lundgren. The following year, she had a supporting role as a girl in ‘The Longshots’, a biographical drama starring Ice Cube and Keke Palmer.
Sophia followed with her role as Brooklyn in the 2015 movie “The Walking Deceased” which was poorly reviewed by audiences. She was then cast to play Beverly’s Roommate in the comedy “Everybody Wants Some!!” from 2016, starring Blake Jenner, Ryan Guzman and Tyler Hoechlin, which had 17 award nominations and won two, including the Internet Film Critic Society Award for Best Comedy.

Later that year, Sophia Brooke starred in the teen comedy “Mono” followed by her role as Faith Jackson in the 2017 comedy thriller “Bad Kids of Crestview Academy” which was her first starring role. The movie had no nominations, but audience reviews said it had cool effects and good production quality, though the story was complicated.
Sophia was next seen as Penelope Amari in the 2018 horror “Truth or Dare” also starring Tyler Posey and Lucy Hale, followed by her role as Cam in the short film “How’s the World Treating You?” from 2019, which she also wrote. The film had no nominations, but audiences rated it 7.8/10.
In the 2021 comedy “India Sweets and Spices”, Sophia played the lead role of Alia Kapur, who comes home from college and discovers lies and secrets in her parents’ past, and now tries to find out what she really knows about her family. The film won the Gold List Award for Breakout Indie Film.
Most recently was Sophia seen as Chloe Frazer in the 2022 action adventure ‘Uncharted’, starring Tom Holland, Antonio Banderas and Mark Wahlberg.

Love life and relationships
Like many actresses, Sophia has been the subject of various rumors about her romantic life, but she has not commented on these assumptions as she prefers to keep her personal affairs out of the public eye.
What we do know is that from 2017 to 2019, Sophia dated her fellow actor, Tyler Posey. The two met on the set of the movie “Truth or Dare”, and started dating soon after. They made their first public appearance while dining together at a restaurant, and when Tyler posted their photo together his Instagram account, their love story became official. The two seemed in love and occasionally shared their photos with heartwarming captions, but in December 2019, Tyler stated that he is single. Sophie has not commented on the reason for their breakup, but Tyler said in one of his interviews that he sometimes tends to mess up relationships.
As of March 2023, it appears that Sophie is single, has not been married or engaged, and has no children.
