Who is Ted Sutherland?

American actor and model Ted Sutherland was born in New York City, USA, on March 16, 1997, so Pisces is his zodiac sign. He has appeared in 20 movies and TV series, and he is perhaps best known for Playing Simon Saunders, one of the main characters in all 10 episodes of the 2018 drama series “Rise”, which also starred Josh Radnor, Marley Shelton and Auli’i Cravalho, follows the life of a passionate drama teacher.

Education and early life

Ted was raised in New York City by his parents whom he has not spoken about publicly as they prefer to keep their privacy; it is believed that both his mother and father are entrepreneurs. Ted has not spoken of having siblings, but it is believed that he grew up with his sister.

He was still attending a local primary school when he fell in love with acting, and began appearing in school plays and theaters. Ted enrolled in a local high school in 2011 and made his screen debut the same year playing Max Bronsky in the comedy “Family Album” directed by Shawn Levy, starring Rachael Harris, Joy Osmanski and Mike O’Malley . ; it follows the members of a dysfunctional family. Ted has been active in the film industry ever since.

He graduated in 2015 and then enrolled in drama school, graduating in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Roles in movies

Ted played Boy in the Wheelchair in the 2012 comedy short “Alan Smithee” and the following year played the role of Josh in the drama short “American Girl”.

In 2013, he also played Shmuel the romantic comedy “Fading Gigolo”, written and directed by John Turturro, who also starred alongside Woody Allen and Sharon Stone. The film follows Fioravante who started out as a gigolo, as his friend Murray has become his manager; it won two of three award nominations.

Some of Ted’s next roles were in the 2013 family drama “Dovid Meyer”, the musical family comedy “Fan Girl” and the short comedy “Damnation The Flashback”, both in 2015.

In 2017, he starred as Jordan in the short comedy “Miyubi”, directed by Felix Lajeunesse and Paul Raphael, and also starring Jeff Goldblum, PJ Byrne and Emily Bergl. It follows the adventures of an American family and their Japanese house robot Miyubi, and the film won two awards.

Ted’s had only two other film roles. He played young Nick Goode in the 2021 horror mystery ‘Fear Street: Part Two – 1978’ directed by Leigh Janiak, starring Sadie Sink, Emily Rudd and Ryan Simpkins. It follows a group of teenagers who go to Camp Nightwing while one of them is now possessed by a demon; the film won one of three award nominations. Ted reprized his role in the 2021 horror mystery “Fear Street: Part Three – 1666”.

Roles in TV series

Ted’s debut TV series role was playing Jeremy in the 2015 episode “ICU” of the crime horror “Eye Candy”, created by Christian Taylor, and starring Victoria Justice, Casey Deidrick and Harvey Guillen; it follows a woman who believes her online date is a serial killer.

In 2017, Ted appeared in the episode “Good Bones” of the thriller “Madam Secretary”, as well as in the pilot episode of the drama “The Deuce”.

In 2019, Ted Elliot Patterson starred in two episodes of the hit action-adventure comedy “Doom Patrol” created by Jeremy Carver, starring Diane Guerrero, April Bowlby and Matt Bomer. It follows a scientist and his team of ‘super-powered outcasts’, the series aired from 2019 to 2023 and won two of 18 award nominations.

In 2019, Ted also appeared in one or two episodes of the crime mystery “Law & Order: Special Victims Units”, the crime mystery “Instinct”, and the crime action “FBI”.

His only other role in the TV series was playing Percy in 14 episodes of the 2021 science fiction horror “The Walking Dead: World Beyond” created by Scott M. Gimple and Matthew Negrete, and starring Julia Ormond , Nicolas Cantu and Alexa Mansour. It follows the first humans to grow up in a world overrun by zombies, and the series won two awards.

Other credits

Ted voiced Jack Marston in the critically acclaimed 2018 video game “Red Dead Redemption II”.

Love life and relationships

There is only one girl Ted has been with that his fans know about. In 2017, he started dating Katherine Reisa popular American actress who has appeared in 17 movies and TV series, and is probably best known for playing Pippa Sykes in six episodes of the new romantic series “Gossip Girl”, which airs since 2021. Ted and Katherine were together for a year, breaking up in 2018.

Ted has not mentioned any other girls, or maybe guys he has dated, he appears to be unattached as of March 2023, is not married and has no children.

Ted has become an Instagram star as more than 220,000 people follow him on this social media network, though he has only posted 18 photos and videos, most of which were taken at red carpet events.
