Who is Lee Rodriguez?

American actress and singer LaRhonza Lee Rodriguez was born in Fresno, California, USA, on November 28, 1999 and made Sagittarius her zodiac sign. She has four acting credits and is perhaps best known for Fabiola Torres in the comedy series “Never Have I Ever”, created by Lang Fisher and Mindy Kaling, and starring Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Poorna Jagannathan and Darren Barnet. It follows the life of an Indian-American girl, the series aired from 2020 to 2023 and won six of the 22 award nominations.

Education and early life

Lee was raised in Fresno by her African-American mother and Mexican-American father, who not much is known about because she respects their privacy; her father is said to be a carpet salesman and her mother an elementary school teacher. Since Lee hasn’t talked about having any siblings yet, most of her fans believe she doesn’t have any.

The family moved to Hesperia, California when Lee was quite young, where she attended Encore Jr. went and then to Sr. High School, where she became interested in acting and began performing in school plays; Lee also loved to dance and sing during her teens while playing different sports with her peers and excelling in soccer.

She enrolled in 2018 and then launched her acting career, instead of pursuing a college degree.

Acting career

Lee made her TV series debut playing Naomi in the 2018 episode “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” of the comedy series “Grown-ish”, which Larry Wilmore and Kenya Barris created, and starred in the starring Francia Raisa, Trevor Jackson and Yara Shahidi. It is a spin-off of the hit series “Black-ish”, and follows Zoey Johnson, who has just enrolled in college.

Lee played Bea in three episodes of the drama of 2018 “Class of Lies,” starring Camille Ramsey, Tatsumi Romano and Frank Cappello, follows college roommates Missy and Devon who have their own true crime podcast and are now investigating the disappearance of their best friend. The series has been airing since 2018 and won a Writers Guild of America Award for Short Form New Media Original in 2019.

Lee’s only other role was Newscaster in two episodes of the 2022 comedy “Go Off with Jess & Julia”, starring Jessica Marie Garcia, Julissa Calderon and Annie Gonzalez, and follows the lives of two best friends.
