Who is Catherine Reitman?

Catherine Reitman was born in Los Angeles, California, USA on April 28, 1981 – her zodiac sign is Taurus and she holds both Canadian and American nationalities. She is an actress, film writer and producer, who is perhaps best known for playing the main character in the comedy series “Workin’ Moms”, which she also wrote – the series also stars Dani Kind and Juni Rinaldi and has been airing since 2017. The story follows four mothers and friends who living in Toronto in Canada, trying to balance their love and family life; the series has won four awards and been nominated for 25 others.

Early life and education

Catherine grew up with her brother Jason Reitman, a film director, and her sister Caroline Reitman by their French-Canadian mother Genevieve Robert, who was an actress, and their Slovak father, Ivan Reitman, who was a film director.

Catherine studied at the Cate School, where she became interested in acting as a member of the school’s drama club, appearing in most of the plays performed at the school. At entrance examination in 1999, she enrolled at the University of Southern California where she graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in acting.

Between 2010 and 2016, Catherine Maureen Ponderosa starred in seven episodes of the critically acclaimed comedy series “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” created by Glenn Howerton and Rob McElhenney, starring Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton. The series follows five friends who own an Irish pub and won four awards while being nominated for 15 others, including three Primetime Emmys.

Love life and relationships

Catherine is quite secretive when it comes to her love life but it is known that she has been married to Philip Sternberg since 2009 and they have two children together, born in 2013 and 2016.

Philip is a film producer, director and actor, who is perhaps best known as the president of Candor Entertainment. He is credited with appearing in five movies and TV series, including the “City Guys” and “Firefly” series, and the movies “First Flight” and “Southland Tales”. He wrote the series “The Super” and the documentary film “Divorce Corp” and directed nine episodes of the series “Workin’ Moms”. Philip is also credited with producing a documentary and six TV series.

Catherine has not spoken about other men she may have dated before meeting Philip, so as of November 2020 she is married with two children.

Hobbies and other interests

Catherine is a family woman who spends most of her free time with her children, but she still finds time to do a few things that she enjoys doing for herself.

Failed operation

Many people noticed Catherine’s upper lip on the “Workin’ Moms” series, claiming how she must have had a “botched surgery” – someone even uploaded a “before and after” photos, but the girl in the “before” picture is not Catherine, but rather a woman named Keara. Some of these fans have also claimed that Catherine’s upper lip ruins the series for them.

Catherine has not commented on this “botched operation” and it is not known whether or not she had plastic surgery – she has only stated how she was bullied with her upper lip at a very young age.
