Twitter head of trust and security Ella Irwin has resigned she confirmed it Reuters, marking the departure of one of Elon Musk’s top executives from Twitter. Irwin took over from Yoel Roth in November following Roth’s resignation earlier that month. Fortune Kylie Robison reported that earlier on Thursday that Irwin’s Slack account appeared to be deactivated.

During her months-long tenure, Irwin oversaw a number of turbulent cycles at Twitter, including periods when Twitter came under scrutiny for not doing enough to curb child exploitation. Irwin himself shared internal Twitter information with Bari Weiss as part of the “Twitter Files” reports and reportedly aimed at banning Twitter accounts who shared information about Musk’s private jet.

Neither Irwin nor Musk posted on Twitter about her firing. It’s unclear who could fill the role or if there’s even a candidate in mind – maybe that’s something for new CEO Linda Yaccarino to find out.

Twitter’s press email replied with a poop emoji, as it has been since March.
