During the present day Final Fantasy VII 25th anniversary event, Square Enix announced a remake of Crisis Corethe prequel to Final Fantasy VII previously released only on the PSP.
Dubbed the extraordinarily long and complicated name, Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII – Reunion, Crisis Core tells the story of Zack Fair: the Shinra SOLDIER became hero, became Aerith’s main boo and became Cloud’s comrade, who is one of the most compelling protagonists in the Final Fantasy canon.
According to the disclosure, the Crisis Core remake offers new improved models, new voiceovers and new music. However, all the novelty means that, unfortunately, gackt – the J-pop star who lent his voice to the villain Genesis – probably won’t return.
Crisis Core – Final Fantasy VII – Reunion (seriously, Square Enix?) is coming to consoles and PC this winter.
