With multiple configurations and different models to choose from, finding a deal on an M1-equipped MacBook or Mac Mini isn’t that hard. It’s a slightly different story for the newer MacBook Pros with the beefier M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs, but any savings you can get on the new Pro models are well worth it.

Here we’ll run through the discounts currently available for the latest MacBooks, as well as any offers for the Mac Mini. Of course, there are still some lingering discounts available for older Intel-based configurations — which are compatible with macOS Monterey — but we highly recommend opting for a newer model now that Apple has introduced its M1 chips on the MacBook Air and MacBook Air. Pro lines. There’s really no downside to going for Apple’s proprietary silicon, except for Windows Boot Camp holdouts.

Alternatively, buying refurbished is another way to save money on an Apple computer. Apple’s refurbished store offers a one-year warranty on all products and generally has discounts of 15 to 20 percent off the price of a new model. Two other retailers to look at for refurbished MacBooks are: Best Buy and Amazon† However, if you’re looking for a new model, here are the best MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac Mini deals available.

The best MacBook Air deals

The MacBook Air is Apple’s entry-level laptop. It’s best suited for typical productivity work, with a comfortable keyboard, excellent trackpad, and all-day battery life. There are rumors of a new model arriving at Apple’s WWDC 2022 event on June 6, but for now the most recent model includes the Apple-designed M1 processor and lacks a fan for quiet, efficient performance. It ticks all the right boxes when it comes to performance and price, which is why it’s currently our top pick for the best laptop money can buy.

MacBook Air with M1 (Late 2020)

The MacBook Air is Apple’s entry-level laptop, equipped with the company’s new M1 chip and in three different colors (silver, space gray and gold).

The base MacBook Air with the M1 chip has 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. It usually sells for $999, although we’ve seen it drop to $799.99. However, the best deal on the base model right now is on Amazon and Best Buy, where you can pick it up for $899.99. If you need extra storage, the 512GB model with an eight-core GPU is also discounted in select colorways at Amazon and Best Buydropping to $1,149.99 (about $100 off).

If you have a Micro Center near you, you may be able to get an additional $20 off the base M1 MacBook Air. Micro Center has it for just $879.99 for in-store pickup at selected locations. If you’re lucky, you might even have Best Buy matches that price

The best MacBook Pro deals

The MacBook Pro line is split into two distinct segments for now. The 2020 M1-powered MacBook Pro remains the last Touch Bar holdout. It’s a sibling to the MacBook Air, introduced at the same time, with similar guts except for a fan that allows it to run at peak performance for longer. However, the new 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros announced in October come with the M1 Pro or optional M1 Max CPUs.

Right now, Costco is offering a single $50 discount on the 14-inch, M1 Pro-equipped base model, sell in silver for $1,949.99† As for the 16-inch MacBook Pro with 512GB of storage and the M1 Pro, the only deal out there is the member discount at Costco, bringing the price down to $2,449.99 ($50 off).

Our reviews of the latest MacBook Pro line were absolutely beaming with praise. Whether it was the beautiful display or the remarkable performance and battery life they showed, these premium laptops are investments we can wholeheartedly recommend. As soon as there’s a sharp price break for these impressive laptops, we’d recommend anyone looking to buy a new laptop to get one, as they’re likely to sell out quickly.

16-inch MacBook Pro with M1 Pro (2021, 512GB)

The new 16-inch MacBook Pro is a creative powerhouse equipped with the latest silicone from Apple. The 16-inch screen can be configured with the M1 Pro or the M1 Max and can be simultaneously loaned to up to three external screens and a 4K TV thanks to the sheer number of ports.

The Touch Bar-equipped 13-inch MacBook Pro is similar to the Air, but aimed at slightly more demanding use, and starts at $1,299. The M1-powered base model includes 256 GB of storage, 8 GB of RAM, a brighter screen, longer battery life and an internal fan designed to maintain performance under increased workloads.

In December we saw the base model drop to $1,099.99 on Amazon, but right now the best price available to everyone is at B&H Photo, which sells the gray model for $1,199. That may not be the highest discount we’ve seen, but that’s still a $100 savings. Meanwhile, if you have a Costco member, you can get it for $1049.99 until June 12. As for the configuration of 512 GB with 8 GB of RAM, it is: on sale for $1,399 instead of $1,499 at Adorama

13-inch MacBook Pro with M1

The MacBook Pro 13 has the same M1 processor as the Air, but has a brighter screen, longer battery life and a fan for better, longer-lasting performance.

The best Mac Mini deals

While not an Apple laptop, the Mac Mini is an affordable desktop computer running macOS. It doesn’t include a monitor, keyboard, or mouse (so you’ll have to provide your own), but this compact machine does a great job if you’re not worried about portability. It is fast, efficient and is equipped with Wi-Fi 6.

Like the MacBook Air and the 13-inch MacBook Pro, the Mini is equipped with Apple’s M1 processor. It starts at $699, with the price varying based on your RAM and storage configurations. If you are looking for a discount, AmazonB&H Photo, en costco all currently sell the base model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for around $669, which is a long way from the all-time low of $569.99. The new Mac Studio may be getting all the recent praise, but that’s a much more expensive machine. The tiny M1 Mac Mini is still a very capable desktop for everyday users doing some creative work, though the $30 discount is pretty modest right now.
