The availability of the OnePlus Watch has yet to be revealed, but the next smartwatch has already been pre-ordered in China. The latest development comes just days before the OnePlus virtual event where the OnePlus Watch will debut alongside the OnePlus 9 series smartphones. Along with pre-orders, a render supposedly showing OnePlus Watch has appeared on Twitter to suggest the design of the smart watch. The OnePlus Watch is rumored to have an IP68 certified build and Warp Charge fast charging technology.

Chinese online retailer JD.com has listed OnePlus Watch for pre-orders in the country. To reserve the smartwatch, customers must pay CNY 50 (about Rs 600) deposit as the listing shows. As a bonus, customers who pre-order OnePlus Watch will receive a discount of CNY 100 (approximately Rs 1,100) on their final purchase. The exact pricing details for the smartwatch have yet to be announced.

The listing on the JD.com site shows that OnePlus Watch comes with Bluetooth and GPS connectivity. No further specifications have been disclosed.

Unbox Therapy tweeted a render suggesting the OnePlus Watch design. It appears to have a circular design and comes with a patterned wristband. In addition, there are two physical buttons on the right side, one of which has the OnePlus branding.

The overall OnePlus Watch design that appears in the leaked render is very similar to that of the Oppo Watch RX. It is important to note that both OnePlus and Oppo are owned by the same parent company BBK Electronics, and were recently said to have merged their hardware R&D activities.

OnePlus Watch specifications (expected)

Looking at a previous report, the OnePlus Watch will have a 46mm watch face and black and silver color options. The smartwatch will also include heart rate and SpO2 sensors, as well as an IP68 certified construction. It can support fitness tracking functions and can include special swimming mode. The OnePlus Watch is also rumored to have 4GB of onboard storage and Warp Charge technology to provide power for a week in 20 minutes of charging time.

The OnePlus Watch was originally expected to run on Google’s Wear operating system. However, OnePlus co-founder and CEO Pete Lau recently revealed that it will come with a custom operating system to provide a better Wear OS experience.

OnePlus will hold its launch event on March 23, where the OnePlus Watch will be unveiled alongside the OnePlus 9, OnePlus 9 Pro and OnePlus 9R smartphones.
