Youth and education
Claire was raised in Grant as an only child by her father, who was a high school athlete and football coach, and her mother, who worked as a nurse at a local hospital.
Mainly motivated by her father, Claire became physically active while still in elementary school, when she took up running and gymnastics. She attended Campbell County High School where she ran track and field for her school’s team and also became a competitive gymnast. After graduation, Claire joined the ESPN network as an intern and worked with Kenny Mayne on the web show “Mayne Street” – from there she became a researcher on the ABC show “Dancing with the Stars”. After a year, Claire returned to ESPN and worked as a production assistant for their show “ESPY Awards” where she assisted live show producers and ran the production office.
In 2010, encouraged by her friends and family, Claire entered the Miss Wyoming USA beauty pageant, and after stating in an interview that she did not expect to win, and that her win surprised her. She then competed in the Miss USA 2010 beauty pageant in the top 15, becoming only the second Wyoming girl to score that high – Beth King placed in the top 10 in 1986 and also became Miss Photogenic, while Linda Leafdale (1966), Cynthia Pate (2009) and later Callie Bishop (2018), were called Miss Congeniality.
Claire also launched her acting career in 2013, when she guest-starred as Stephanie in the “Meet the Pattersons” episode of the comedy series “Good Cop Bike Cop”.

Claire met her future other half Michael Yo in 2013 when they were introduced by a mutual friend, and on July 26, 2015, the two announced they were engaged – they married on February 14, 2016 in a private ceremony attended by their closest friends and family , and it seems that the two have decided to focus on their careers instead of having children.

Claire loves to travel and her versatile career has helped her to travel across the US while she has had the chance to visit many European countries such as Switzerland, England and Croatia.
She is an animal lover and has volunteered numerous times at an animal shelter during her teenage years, and she dislikes going to zoos as she believes that animals belong in the wild, away from humans – she does not support the humans for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) association, because it believes these animals hurt more than they help.
