Jon Anderson Biography
John Roy Anderson was born in Lincolnshire, England, on October 25, 1944. His parents are Kathleen and Albert Anderson. His mother worked in a cotton mill and his father served in the entertainment division of the army. Tony, Stuart and Joy are his siblings. Jon attended Saint John’s School and struggled academically.

Career
Jon Anderson started his career by joining a local group called the Warriors. The band played covers of well-known artists. Anderson later recorded a number of songs, including “Don’t Make Me Blue” and “You Came Along.” He returned to London in 1968 and joined another local group called The Gun. He became a founding member of the band Yes in 1968.
In 1969 they released their self-titled debut album. However, the band found success after releasing TheYes Album in 1971, which went platinum. This was followed by Fragile, another hugely successful album.
