Freckled Zelda, as Rachael Wilson, will appear as a contestant on episode 9 of America’s Got Talent (AGT) season 17. The show, which premieres on NBC on July 26, 2022 at 8 p.m. ET, will feature a wide variety of talents competing for the jury’s approval to advance to the next round.
Zelda, an AGT contestant, introduced herself at the beginning of her audition by saying:
“I am a fairy of music.”
Despite the experts being wary of her stance before the performance, she surprised the judges and the public with her AGT audition and won many accolades. Simon Cowell said after her audition:
“As you walked away, I thought to myself, ‘This is going to be bad.’ I did, and I think you have a great voice. I mean, I don’t like the instrument, and I don’t think it’s essential, but you can keep looking this way if you want, because you’re intriguing.”
Sofia Vergara asked if she would wear the same clothes and if she would like to change in the future. Zelda, on the other hand, confirmed that she would “never” change and remain a fairy for the rest of her life.

Rachael Wilson popularly known as Freckled Zelda is an internet personality known for her videos on numerous social media sites. She is known for dressing up as a fairy, playing the ocarina and impressing the audience with her vocal skills. In May 2018, the AGT competitor shared her debut ocarina singing video, which was taken from the 2018 ALA Idol Champion Los Angeles competition. She has now become a prominent social media sensation, with over 299K Instagram followers, over 31K YouTube subscribers and over 6.9 million TikTok followers.
Zelda’s debut TikTok video was viewed 40,000 times in March 2020 and reached 100,000 followers just two months later. Shortly after, a video of her performing Swallowtail Jig on the ocarina went viral, with over 300,000 likes and 1 million views. She has her own clothing line based on her stage character, Freckled Zelda, and sells T-shirts and hoodies for $29-$69. The AGT competitor has also been seen modeling for well-known companies such as Songbird Ocarina, Bokksu, and Uniqso.
Zelda has a Spotify and YouTube account under her own name, Rachael Wilson, and has published a significant amount of music over the years. Her output includes an EP under her stage name, as well as hits such as I Feel Pretty Sad, Stay Focused, I Swear and I’m Not Even Close.
