He plays the character, Jason Todd or Robin, on the show, making him the first actor to portray the character in a live action show. “Titans” is based on the DC team, Teen Titans.

Beginning of early life, education and career
Curran grew up alongside a younger sister in Oak Park and attended Oak Park High School, one of California’s premier high schools. During high school, he pursued a career in the entertainment industry, and after graduating from college, he began a modeling career and worked for several fashion brands, including Lee and Tillys, a clothing company based in California.
While working as a model, he also got his first acting opportunities, in commercials, which first appeared for the Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
He then appeared in a commercial for the video game “NBA 2K15”, the 2015 edition of the popular “NBA 2K” franchise. His work there motivated him to pursue more acting endeavors, and he eventually left his modeling career behind, preferring to find success as an actor. Transition to acting
More opportunities came for Walters and he appeared as a guest on “Speechless”, “New Girl” and a two-episode special for “Girl Meets World”. In 2016, he landed his first recurring role in the television series ‘Game of Silence’ portraying a younger version of the character Jackson Brooks.
The show is an American adaptation of the Turkish series “Suskunlar”, which tells the story of children who were sentenced to nine years in prison after stealing a dessert in 1997; the show is based on true events.
That same year, he made his film debut in “Women of the 20th century”, alongside Elle Fanning, Annette Bening and Greta Gerwig. He then landed one of his first major roles, as one of the main characters in “Too Close to Home,” which aired on TLC for two seasons. It follows the story of a woman who becomes involved in an affair with the US president, which makes her the center of a major political scandal.
She then returns home in hopes of escaping the large-scale problem.
In 2018, Curran was selected for his biggest role to date, in the web series ‘Titans’ playing Jason Todd, one of the people who took on the Robin character before later becoming known for his alias, Red hood. Other stars of the show include Anna Diop, Brenton Thwaites, Teagan Croft and Ryan Potter. The series was initially set to be filmed for TNT, but it was in development for a few years before it was announced that the project would be redeveloped with the support of the DC Universe.
Cast members were signed in 2017, leading to filming and release the following year.
The show begins after the Titans break up, but are about to reunite. Together they begin thwarting crimes in San Francisco, with each member having their own unique set of abilities. More members would join the newly formed Titans, but things get complicated when one of their members – Rachel, also known as Raven – becomes the target of her demon father. The show was very successful during its first season, leading to a second season, pitting the now officially reformed Titans against a previous nemesis, the assassin Deathstroke.
Walters’ work in “Titans” has greatly enhanced his career, and even though he spends most of his time on the show, he is still able to do other projects. He made a guest appearance on the show “Fam”, a sitcom that aired on CBS, working with Nina Dobrev and Tone Bell. He also reprized his role as Jason Todd and made a guest appearance on the show “Supergirl” and “Legends of Tomorrow”. He appeared as one of many characters from the wider DC Universe for the Crisis on Infinite Earths special, which features a crosswalk of many series.
However, because the special was mostly led by shows from the CW’s Arrowverse, many characters, including him, went uncredited.
In addition to his work on shows, he will also appear in the movie “Do Not Reply”, which is still in pre-production, delayed due to the problems around the world with the coronavirus. It was also announced that he had become a main cast member of “Titans– the show has received positive reviews mainly due to its dark theme and pacing, which allowed for better character development.
Curran is single and he has not focused on public romances as he is still developing his fledgling career.
