Born in mid-April 1973, Blue Lagoon actress Josephson is from New Jersey. The now 49-year-old is the daughter of father Herbert Josephson and mother Mary Winifred Cowie. Her late father, Herbert, was apparently a musician by trade. Elva grew up mostly in the town of Beach Haven New Jersey.

She also has a sister, Jami Josephson Chace, who is reportedly an entrepreneur and works at Shaklee Corporation, a manufacturer and distributor of natural nutritional supplements, beauty products, and household products. Josephson was home-schooled during her early childhood. She later attended Red Bank Regional High School.

As for college, the ex-child actress studied math and education at SUNY College in Old Westbury (a public university in Old Westbury, New York).

Although Randal Kleiser’s directing was not the end of Elva’s acting career. She would make a few more screen appearances before unofficially pulling down the curtain on her acting career.

After The Blue LagoonElva played Sue Bradley in the 1982 romantic comedy film A little sex. In the same year, she would also act as Bonnie/Elva Leff in the comedy-drama film Author! Author! alongside veterans like Al Pacino and Dyan Cannon

Two years later, the Beach Haven girl played Patsy Custis in the TV miniseries, George Washington. The following year, Josephson would make a one-time appearance as Nancy Banks in the CBS short TV series Schoolbreak School’s episode, The Day the Senior Class Got Married.

Her last on-screen role, though uncredited, was in the 2007 TV series documentary 20 to 1, where she appeared as Young Emmeline in the episode, Sexiest movie moments.

Josephson started her job as an academic professional in September 2017. She also previously worked as a teacher at Greenburgh Academy in 2014.

Josephson is married and has children: who is her husband?

For years, after Blue Lagoon, Elva was more remarkable to movie viewers as a child star. It wouldn’t make much difference to say that she now lives a completely normal life in New York. Grosman is apparently a businessman and converter by trade. According to his Facebook, Josephson’s husband’s job involves sharing money management ideas through his socials.

He is also reportedly an animal lover. While it’s unclear when exactly Josephson and the businessman got married, some social media posts show that the couple tied the knot on August 29 sometime in the late 90s. Josephson and her entrepreneur husband have been together ever since.

Together they are also the parents of a son, Ethan Grosman, and a daughter, Jordan Grossman. Josephson’s son, Ethan, is apparently a student at Belmont University. In 2020, Elva announced the news that her son was admitted to Belmont through her Facebook.

On the other hand, Josephson’s daughter, Jordan, is a graduate of the State University of New York College at Old Westbury, the institution where her mother studied.
