Ancestors of Ladd Drummond

Aforesaid, now 53-year-old Ladd Drummond is a fourth-generation cattle rancher. He is of Scottish-American ranchman descent.

Ladd’s great great grandfather, Ronald Thacker Drummond from Scotland and when he immigrated to the US, he became a prominent businessman of his time. However, his main investments were in South Africa related to diamonds.

Ladd Drummond has been a ranch man since childhood

Since he was a boy, Ladd has worked at the ranch; he was skilled in manual labor from childhood, operating machines and driving trucks.

Ladd is now one of the heirs to the estate, Drummond Land and Cattle Co, which was founded in the late 1800s by one of his family patriarchs, Fred Drummond.

Fred was also the husband of Addie Genter, a native of Kansas, with whom he had started Drummond Land & Cattle Co. The deceased couple had three sons who later became successful ranchers.

However, it is unclear whether Fred was Ladd’s grandfather or the greats. The current partners of the Drummond Land and Cattle Company are Ladd, his father and his brother, Tim, while the rancher’s cousin, Thatcher Drummond, is the employee of the property.

The Pawhuska, Ladd Drummond of Oklahoma, who celebrates his birthday on January 22, was born in 1969 in Nebraska. There he attended Pawhuska High School.

Ladd lost one of his brother in a car accident

Todd, one of Ladd’s brothers, died in a car accident when he was 18; it was in the summer before he went to college. Ladd’s late brother was working on a family ranch in Texas at the time of his accident.

At the time, Ree had just returned to her hometown, Bartlesville Oklahoma, having completed college in LA. The now reality star then planned to move to Chicago to study law, but she later changed her plan and decided to stay with Ladd instead.

Mr and Mrs Drummond were married in September 1996. After the wedding, the couple left for Australia. Upon returning to the United States, the couple lived on a remote working cattle ranch about eight miles west of Pawhuska, Oklahoma. It was also two hours from Oklahoma City.

Ladd and his husband Ree are parents of five children

The Marlboro Man, Ladd Drummond and his wife Ree have five children together. They had their first, a daughter, Alex in 1997, and their second, Paige in 1999.

The couple welcomed their third child and their first son, Bryce in 2002 and their other son, Todd in 2004. The Drummonds homeschooled all their children from kindergarten through high school.

In March 2021, Ree’s husband, Ladd was in a horrific accident where he crashed his large vehicle while responding to fires that burned more than 200 acres around the Drummond family farm in Pawhuska, Oklahoma.
