So far in his career
Prior to joining Sanfrecce Hiroshima in January 2013, Asano attended Yokkaichi Chuo Technical High School. He quickly amazed everyone with his abilities and won the J1 league in his first season and the Japan Super Cup in 2014. The following year, he helped the side win the championship for the second time and was awarded the J1 League Rookie of the year .
Arsenal signed him in July 2016. At the time, Asano said he had doubts about accepting Arsenal’s offer. Where does the nickname “Jaguar” come from for Asano? During an interview, Asano explained how he got his nickname. According to him, he is a very fast player and one of his former club’s supporters, Sanfrecce Hiroshima, nicknamed him ‘The Jaguar’. Other fans found out and put up banners in his honor. He acquired his nickname for his party.
