Nina Parker started her career in San Francisco at a small NBC news station before moving to Los Angeles. She worked here as a talent, producer and weekend manager for the internet TV show TMZ. She then worked as an entertainment news reporter for CBS’s The Insider and as the host of Love and Hip Hop, VH1’s top-rated reunion program series. Parker has appeared on several television programs as a pop culture expert, including The Wendy Williams Show and The Talk, as well as a contributor and fill-in host for Access Live on NBC.
She is known for her role as the co-host of ENightly!’s Pop, a late-night news program that launched in 2018. In addition to presenting, the Buy My House presenter recently partnered with Macy’s on an -inclusive collection of ready-to-wear clothing. She described her goal for her plus size clothing business in an interview with Essence:
“I believe it’s critical that if you stay committed, work hard and develop your relationships, people will recognize your merit ethic.”
Her clothing brand includes power mesh jeans, maxi dresses and business casual workwear outfits.
Nina said of her partnership with Macy’s:
“I felt like Macy’s would not only understand my style, but fully embrace it.” Nina Parker’s collection includes designs that can be worn both casually and for a formal event.”
Starting her own clothing line was always on Nina’s ‘vision board’, which she successfully visualized. As a result, one fine day, she got a call from Reunited Clothing. They told her they admired her fashion sense and invited her to create their next collection of plus-size clothes.
She highlighted Lizzo when asked who she would like to see in her clothing brand. Although the amazing singer is working on her own clothing line, Yitty, Parker would like to see Lizzo in her Macy’s clothing line. She further told BET:
“I’ve already interacted with the majority of the people I’d like to see in it. I like seeing regular people in clothes that look great and tag me so I can see how they style them. It was a pleasure to see the improvement.”
