The wealth of Richard Camacho

As of early 2020, Richard Camacho’s net worth is estimated to be over $600,000, largely earned through a successful music industry career at CNCO – the band as a whole has a combined net worth of approximately $3 million.

His fame has led him to numerous opportunities, including sponsorships and other projects.

Early Life and La Banda

Richard grew up with some fame from the entertainment industry as his father worked as a cameraman and had a side job as a musician. His mother, on the other hand, was a dancer. At a young age, he learned to sing and dance together with a younger twin brother named Yashua. He also has a younger brother who shared his interests. As his love for music grew, he aspired to make it big as a music star.

He took part in the show called “La Banda”, a singing competition created by Simon Cowell and Ricky Martin. The aim of the show was to create a new Latin boy band from the many hopeful auditions. He joined during the first season when there were about 40 contestants of different origins, coming from Latin America. He and his twin brother entered the show as a singing/songwriting duo, but Yashua was eliminated in the second round and Richard went on without him. He reached the final and was named as one of the winners, chosen as the second member of the CNCO group.

CNCO Start

Camacho joined Christopher Velez, Zabdiel De Jesus, Joel Pimentel and Erick Brian Colon as the band CNCO† The name is a play on the Latin word Cinco meaning five, a reference to the members of the group. After their inception, music publications began to attract attention as they showcased talents similar to those of a previous Cowell project in One Direction. Camacho already had a bit of experience working with De Jesus, as they were in the same band early on in “La Banda”.

Their win on the show meant they landed a recording contract with Sony Music Latin and soon signed a five-year deal.

Ricky Martin became their representative, while rapper Wisin started working with them for their first release. They made their first public appearance at the 2016 Univision Feliz New Year’s Eve celebrations with the song “Devuelveme Mi Corazon”, the last song they played in “La Banda”. Early the following year, they released their debut single “Tan Facil,” which topped the US iTunes Latino charts, leading them to their first concert in Miami Beach.

Tours and albums

CNCO began touring as the opening act for Ricky Martin, with the group performing in both North and South America.

They released their second single “Quisiera” and went on to win five awards at the Premios Juventud, an awards ceremony for Spanish-speaking celebrities. Their fan base grew quickly and after just a few months they released their first album – “Primera Cita” – which means the First Date in English. The album was known for its mix of cultures as each member of the band had a different upbringing. They released the music video for the single “Para Enamorarte” and fans got a chance to participate as seen at the end of that video.

In 2017, CNCO became a finalist for New Artist of the Year at the Billboard Latin Music Awards.

After their performance, they embarked on their first headlining tour, covering 15 countries around the world, mainly in South America. They then teased a second album with the release of the single “Hey DJ” and “Mamita” – this self-titled album was released in mid-2018 and quickly topped the Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. They then held their first World tourVisit Guatemala, USA and other countries.

Recent projects

After being led for about three years, CNCO left the care of Ricky Martin and signed with Walker Kolm Entertainment, a company known for managing artists like Wisin. In 2019 they released their first ‘Spanglish’ single called “Pretenden”, which included samples from the song “Rhythm of the Night”.
