Cameron Seely was born in the USA on February 17, 2007 – her zodiac sign is Aquarius and she is an American national. She’s an actressperhaps best known for her portrayal of Helen Barnum, the daughter of PT Barnum in the 2017 biographical musical film “The Greatest Showman” directed by Michael Gracey and written by Jenny Bicks and Bill Condon, as the film starred famed actor Hugh Jackman , Michelle Williams and Zac Efron.
It tells the story of the man who created ‘the greatest show on earth’ – the film was a huge success, as it won 14 awards and was nominated for 33 others, including an Oscar for Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Song ) for Benj Pasek and Justin Paul and their song “This is Me”.
Early life and education
Cameron grows up in Los Angeles, California, the only child of her theater actor father and her mother who teaches English at a local high school. She became interested in acting at a very young age and was spotted by a scout while performing in a school play at the age of eight.
She was immediately cast to play Mary in 22 episodes of the comedy series “The Jim Gaffigan Show”, created by famed actor and stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan, who also stars in the series alongside Ashley Williams and Michael Ian Black. It follows a married couple raising their five children in New York City in a house with only two bedrooms.
Cameron will be attending high school this year (2020) and it seems that at this point the girl will get a degree after matriculation as this is something that both she and her parents want.
Career as an actress
Following her appearances on “The Jim Gaffigan Show” and “The Greatest Showman”, Cameron played the lead character Izzy in the 2018 family movie “Christmas Break-In” directed by Michael Kampa and written by Spanky Dustin Ward. , and which also starred Denise Richards and Danny Glover. The movie is about a nine-year-old girl who has to make Christmas great by rescuing a kidnapped janitor and rescuing two bad guys trapped in an ice cream truck.
Cameron voiced one of the main characters, Cindy-Lou Who the animated family comedy movie “The Grinch” directed by Scott Mosier and Yarrow Cheney and written by Tommy Swerdlow and Michael LeSieur. Also starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Rashida Jones, the film follows Grinch trying to ruin Christmas for those living in the village of Whoville – it won a Movieguide Award for Best Picture for Families and was nominated for 18 other awards.
Cameron’s most recent role was as Annie Adams in three episodes – “The Tectonic Shift” (2016), “Between the Seats” (2019) and “The Common Defense” (2019) – of the drama series “Madam Secretary”.
Created by Barbara Hall, and starring Tea Leoni, Tim Daly and Erich Bergen, it chronicles the business and personal life of the Secretary of State. It won a ReFrame Stamp Award for Television (2017-2018) for CBS in 2018, as well as another ReFrame for Top 100 Most Popular Television (2017-2018) for CBS in 2020, and was nominated for seven other awards.
Family, friends and boyfriend
Cameron is close to her family and her best friend Austyn Johnson, whom she met on the set of the movie “The Greatest Showman”.
The two girls became very close with each other and both of their Instagram accounts are filled with pictures of them together. Austin was born in New York on April 28, 2006, so her zodiac sign is Taurus and she is an American national. She is best known today for her roles in the biographical history movie “The Post” which was released in 2017, and the mystery thriller movie “Lost Girls” which came out in 2020.
Though still too young to date, Cameron spends much of her free time with a boy known as “Wolfe,” with whom she recently shared a photo on Instagram.
Some of Cameron’s fans have claimed to have seen the two walking hand in hand at a Los Angeles mall.
Hobbies and other interests
Cameron’s favorite season is summer as she loves to sunbathe and play in the sand with her friends. She’s not much of a swimmer, so she usually stays in the shallows to catch the waves as they come. Cameron is a big animal lover and has a pet dog, while her favorite animals are dolphins and parrots. She loves to travel and although she is still very young, she has already had the chance to visit several US states, such as New York, Arizona and Texas, among others.
Her favorite treats are cake and ice cream while her favorite food is pizza.
Cameron enjoys watching animated movies in her spare time, and some of her favorites include “Despicable Me”, “The Minions” and “How To Train Your Dragon”. She also enjoys watching live action movies, her favorites being “Titanic”, “Grown Ups” and “Ace Venture: Pet Detective – When Nature Calls”.
