Who is Kyle Griffin?
He is probably best known for his work as a producer for the Microsoft National Broadcasting Company (MSNBC) news talk show “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell”, but Kyle Griffin is also known for his Twitter account messages, which have generated a lot of controversy, but also received positive attention. He is a community advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer (LGBTQ) people.

Early life, family and education
Kyle Griffin was born under the zodiac sign of Cancer on July 10, 1986 in New York City, USA; he holds American nationality and comes from a family of white descent. Kyle was raised by his parents, Harry and Janice, along with his sister Kelly. Their mother works as a kindergarten teacher, while their father is a retired marketing consultant. Career
Kyle began his career as a production assistant at WNYT in 2006 and worked there while still a student until 2008. In March 2008, he began working as a production assistant at MSNBC, where he remained until September of that same year, when he was hired as an associate producer for ” Early Today” from the National Broadcasting Company (NBC), where his job was to research, write, and copy for NBC News, and from 2009 to 2012, Kyle served as a producer for MSNBC’s “The Ed Show”, “PoliticsNation” and “MSNBC Live”.
Kyle moved to Sydney, Australia in 2012 and started working for Yahoo! as a TV producer, but for only a few months. In May 2013, Kyle started working as a senior producer for Seven Network Limited, where he remained until July 2015.
In August 2015, Kyle was hired as a segment producer for “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell”, and was promoted to senior producer four years later. In 2017, Kyle and his fellow producers were nominated for the News & Documentary Emmy Award for Outstanding News Discussion & Analysis.
Kyle produced the “Pride of the White House” special, hosted by Jonathan Capehart, who spoke to the LGBTQ members of Joe Biden’s White House staff. The show won the 2022 Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Media Award for Outstanding TV Journalism-Long-Form.
In February 2022, Kyle began serving as an executive producer on “The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donnell” and still holds the position as of early 2023.
Love life and husband
Kyle is very open about his love life and his sexual orientation, taking every opportunity to say how much he loves his husband, Joel Meares. The two got married on October 3, 2015 in Townsville, Australia, having been in a long-term relationship before tying the knot, after meeting at a party in Manhattan, New York City, thanks to a mutual friend.
Joel is from Sydney, Australia, and currently works for Google as the editor-in-chief of Internal News. He is also a writer and his book “We’re All Going to Die (Especially Me)” was a huge hit when it was published in 2015. Joel’s exact date of birth has not been revealed, but what we do know is that he was born in 1985, which makes him either 37 or 38 years old as of 2023. Kyle’s husband is also well educated as he has a master’s degree in journalism.
The couple is still together and lives in their home in New York City.

He established his account in April 2009 and is followed today by nearly 1.5 million people. Kyle has tweeted nearly 85,000 times and is of interest not only to his fans but also to many celebrities who follow him and read his tweets.
