Wipro Infrastructure Engineering acquires Pune-based Linecraft.ai for an undisclosed sum


The industrial automation activities of Wipro Infratechnicsa Wipro Enterprises entity, announced on Thursday that it is acquiring Linecraft.ai, a Pune-based AI company, for an undisclosed sum.

Linecraft.ai leverages the power of both automation domain expertise and artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to empower manufacturers to gain greater productivity, quality and improve operational efficiency in real time.

“This acquisition will further help us expand our digital capabilities and offer turnkey automation solutions with a built-in digital layer that provides customers with deep insights and analytics,” said Pratik Kumar, CEO, Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN).

The Linecraft.ai software is built by a team of AI and ML experts and engineers with a proprietary algorithm.

Wipro Infrastructure Engineering said this acquisition, following the acquisition of leading industrial automation player PARI, is an important step in the group’s strategic development in digitalization.

“Linecraft.ai software helps our customers identify bottlenecks in a complex manufacturing environment,” said G Sundararaman, Co-CEO of Wipro PARI.

According to Kumar, the patented technology collects and analyzes large amounts of data from industrial machines and makes recommendations to optimize productivity using AI, ML, significantly improving the value proposition for the customer.

The vertical industrial automation under the Wipro PARI entity has deployed more than 1,500 automated systems at more than 75 global customers worldwide.

Wipro PARI has state-of-the-art facilities throughout Poona and Detroit (USA).
