Reliance Retail’s activewear brand Performax has Friday night cricketer and India’s best bowler, Jasprit. signed Bumrah as its brand ambassador.

Reliance aims to expand its own brand presence through exclusive brand outlets, in Reliance Retail’s fashion and lifestyle stores and digital platforms, as well as in multi-brand outlets.

ā€œWe aim to build Performax as the first Indian sports brand with an international reputation. This association is one of the first in a series of initiatives we plan to undertake to establish Performax as the preferred activewear brand for our customers,ā€ said Akhilesh Prasad, CEO, Reliance Retail – Fashion & Lifestyle.

Performax is Reliance Retail’s own brand that specializes in activewear merchandise and offers a wide variety of options in the footwear, apparel and accessories categories.

ā€œAs an athlete I am very picky about the equipment I use because the right fit inevitably improves my game. It is exciting to associate with a brand with whom I share my personal mantra of maximum performance,ā€ said Bumrah.

Currently, the brand is present in more than 1,000 stores in more than 330 cities. At Reliance’s annual general meeting held on August 29, Reliance announced that its retail segment serves more than 200 million registered customers, representing the entire population of the UK, France and Italy.

Reliance Retail is one of India’s largest retailers with sales of $26.3 billion for the year ending March 2022, the company announced Friday.
